SCHWEGO® wett 8319

Wetting and dispersing additive for water-based coating systems, VOC- and silicone free, biodegradable

 

Chemical base:   Polyether, based on castor oil
     
Properties:   SCHWEGO wett 8319 is an universal wetting and dispersing additive, suitable for nearly all binder systems. The effects of SCHWEGO wett 8319 are:

• Shortening of dispersion time
• Depth of colour is intensified
• Reduction of settlement
• Increase of gloss
• Reduction of floating and flooding
• Improvement of levelling

The chemical structure of SCHWEGO wett 8319 improves wetting on difficult substrates. The emulsifying effect of SCHWEGO wett 8319 prevents surface defects caused by incompatible raw materials.
     
FDA-approval:   The compounds of SCHWEGO wett 8319 are listed in FDA (U.S. Food & Drug Administration), title 21, Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), part 175.105, 175.300, 176.170, 176.180 and 176.210.
     
Applications:   SCHWEGO wett 8319 can be used in almost all water-based coating systems.

Processing:   SCHWEGO wett 8319 is added at the beginning of production. The dosage is between 0.2 - 1.0 %, calculated on the whole system.
     
Storage:   Do not store SCHWEGO wett 8319 at temperatures below 0 °C. Stir it up befor use. Keep it in a cool, well-ventilated place. The viscosity of SCHWEGO wett 8319 increases at low temperatures. This property is reversed by warming the material. Subject to appropriate storage, the described properties of SCHWEGO wett 8319 remain stable for at least 12 months, provided the original container is closed after use.
