SCHWEGO® foam 8336

Defoamer for water-based coating systems, VOC-free, biodegradable

Chemical base:

Polysiloxane adduct combined with surface active alcohols
Properties:   Foam and bubbles are especially in the production of water based paints and their application often met phenomenons. SCHWEGO foam 8336 has been developed to solve thise problems. The surface active substances of SCHWEGO foam 8336 destroy the air bubbles included in the system very fast and foam at the surface of the paint disappears at once. SCHWEGO foam 8336 contains a very compatible siloxane avoiding cratering. In many coating systems it has a favourable influence on flow.
FDA-approval:   The compounds of SCHWEGO foam 8336 are listed in FDA (U.S. Food & Drug Administration), title 21, Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), part 175.105, 175.300, 176.170, 176.180 and 176.210.
Applications:   SCHWEGO foam 8336 defoams very well in all kinds of clear coatings and slightly pigmented systems, printing inks and UV-curing systems, especially those based on acrylics. The defoaming effect is also very good in wood varnishes and adhesives.
